- Theme developers rejoice! RIM today released Service Pack 1 (SP1) for the BlackBerry Theme Studio 5.0 desktop software. I guess everyone should be happy about this release since we will all benefit from new themes for new BlackBerry devices . New in SP1:
- Create themes for new BlackBerry smartphones.
- You can create themes and dynamic content for the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 Series, BlackBerry Pearl 9105, BlackBerry Bold 9650, and the BlackBerry Curve 8910 smartphones.
- Receive a notification when a new version of the BlackBerry Theme Builder is available to download.
- A notification appears on the Quickstart screen when a new version of the BlackBerry Theme Builder is available. You can click the link to go to the download area.
- Navigate to the signal indicator on the Home screen in a custom theme layout for the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 Series smartphone.
- You can customize the movement of the cursor so that it moves to or from the signal indicator on the Home screen banner if you create a custom theme layout for the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 Series smartphones.
